Welcome! We are glad you are here.
Codetopia Community is a place for builders, learners, and creators figuring it out together. We learn in the open, build real things, and help each other level up. Everyone here started as a beginner, and nobody is expected to know everything.
IMPORTANT
Read these before you join. This part is not optional.
- About Codetopia Community, who we are, what we do, and what we expect from each other. If this is not the kind of place you want to be part of, better to know now than later.
- Code of conduct, how we treat each other here. Every member is held to it from day one, and you will be asked to agree to it during signup. Do not skip it and tick a box you have not read.
Both are short. Read them properly, then come back here and let's get you in.
Joining happens in two parts:
- Create your portal account, which gives you your identity in the community (this page covers it)
- Join our Discord server, which is where the community talks every day (the next guide covers it)
Let's start with the first one.
What is the portal?
The portal is the community's home base. Every member has an account there. It is your identity in the community, and it is where the real work happens: you join teams, submit your work for review, and keep track of everything you are involved in.
Think of it like this: your portal account is your membership card. You create it once, and it opens every door in the community, including access to our Discord server.
Before you start
You will need two things:
- A working email address that you can open and read right now. You will receive a verification email during signup, so make sure you can get to your inbox.
- Your correct personal information. Use your real name and real details.
WARNING
Members who sign up with information that does not belong to them will have their accounts removed or banned without notice.
Create your account
- Open your browser and go to portal.community.codetopia.org
- Follow the steps on the screen to create your account. Read everything carefully and take your time. There is no rush.
- The portal will walk you through a short onboarding. A few screens that introduce you to the community and ask for the details we need. Fill everything in correctly and completely.
- During onboarding you will be asked to agree to our code of conduct. Read it properly. It is short, and it is what keeps this community a good place to be. Agreeing to it is part of being a member.
TIP
You will know you are done when you can log in to the portal and see your own account.
What's next?
Your portal account is ready. Now it is time to join the community on Discord, where all the conversations, learning, and collaboration happen.
